By the middle of 2010, 1,300 reports from more than 40 countries were published about RUHR.2010.

One of the well – known medias which reported were arte TV, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Les Echos und La Libération in France, BBC, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Spectator in Great Britain, La Stampa in Italy and El País in Spain, Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita and TV Polonia in Poland, daily newspapers like  De Volkskrant, De Telegraaf, NRC and Trouw as well as TV-stations like Avro, Népszabadság and Magyar Nemzet and RTL Hungary and  the state-run television M1 in Hungary, the daily newspaper Hürriyet in Turkey. The Deutsche Welle tells about RUHR.2010 regularly on TV or on radio and reaches an audience of 50 million people weekly. The chinese state television, Indonesia and Surinam refered to RUHR.2010. The most successful international media event was "Still-Life". More than 100 international journalists refered to RUHR.2010 in more than 300 reports online or printed.
