International Press Trip

From January 2010 till June 2010, RUHR.2010 organized 30 international press trips. RUHR.2010 was partly supported by its partners the Ruhr Tourismus GmbH and the German National Tourist Office.  By the end of June 2010, all in all 170 international journalists visited the European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010.  International media representatives came from the Netherlans, Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, Turkey, Poland, Spain, Italy, USA, Canada, China and Japan.

One of the most popular travel destinations were the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein and the Museum Folkwang in Essen, the Gasometer and its exhibition "Solar System" plus the inner harbour in Duisburg.
