Future prospect: Ruhrlights/Twilights

The biennial festival concentrates on the strategic artistic illumination of the River Ruhr. Using light art interventions, stagings, sculptural arrangements and performances, the artists give the Ruhr an extra emotional dimension. By means of radically varying methods they succeed in giving a new form to familiar, overlooked and often forgotten phenomena. The first festival took place in September 2008 in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
