What zoo needs a keeper for the seals, when the whole world is drooling over the baby polar bears? No-one. Günter has been an unemployed zookeeper for years. Just like his best mate, Wolfgang. Everyday life for the two friends consists of no work, scarcely any money and no prospects for the future. But suddenly the doors seem to open to a new world full of happiness and prosperity. However, with a macabre aftertaste. "A Schnitzel for Three" is a Ruhrgebiet comedy starring Armin Rohde and Ludger Pistor in the main roles.

Günther’s neighbour Hermann (Branko Samarovski) is suffering from dementia and has hidden a large sum of money in his flat. Whereas Hermann - because of his illness - has completely forgotten that he has hidden his money in the first place, his friends Günther and Wolfgang can’t stop thinking about it. Getting their hands on it would be a unique opportunity to start living once more. But if they are to succeed in their plan they will be forced to take intensive care of the lonely old man. And that demands a programme of entertainment. But when Wolfgang’s wife begins to ask questions about their sudden wealth and moral doubts arise, things swiftly get out of control.
