CREATIVE CLASS RUHR is a festival celebrating the creative industry in the Ruhr Metropolis. Designers, artists, architects, musicians, dancers, actors, photographers, film-makers, writers, comic artists, illustrators, game developers and actors are all invited to attend CREATIVE CLASS RUHR.
Altogether, around 500 events have been planned in various cities around the Ruhr Metropolis. Whether exhibitions, workshops, themed walks, opportunities to join in, shopping events, concerts, parties, talks, cinema, performances, gaming, pop-up stores or special events, the Ruhr Metropolis will be inviting visitors to discover the full bandwidth of its creative scene.
Those who want to can explore the Creative.Quarters and trendy courtyards, finding inspiration and experiencing the "Ruhr lifestyle" at close hand. The festival celebrates the originality and authenticity of some 500 creative minds. They are responsible for designing their own projects, endowing the Ruhr Metropolis with a unique flair. CREATIVE CLASS RUHR is a spin-off from the festival known as ESSEN'S CREATIVE CLASS, which has been organised by the Zollverein Foundation since 2007.
