The KUBOSHOW, a fair for art by young artists, is an annual event held at the Flottmann-Hallen in Herne. What's special about it is the direct contact between the artists and the market, and not - as at other fairs - between gallery owners and purchasers. In October, 101 artists, predominantly students and graduates of German art schools and international scholarship-holders, will present a high-quality cross-section of the youth art scene.
More than 1,500 works of art will be on display - and available for purchase - in five halls. The customary focus of KUBOSHOW is objectivity in painting and sculpture. Around 700 painters, sculptors, photographers and other artists have already visited Herne. Alongside opportunities for young artists, the fair offers hopeful collectors an optimal environment, namely a broad spectrum of currently available works from a given exhibitor and attractive prices. In short, the ideal conditions for getting to know the art market.
