Young creative minds need training and professional skills development in keeping with the times, and specific measures to make the most of their talents.

The "Ruhr Pop Foundation", a unique type of training establishment for pop music, is being established to this end. Located in the grounds of the former Prinz Regent colliery in Bochum, it unites artistic experience, theory and practice in order to offer maximum creative inspiration. It will open in Bochum in 2011 - in immediate proximity to ByteFM/Ruhr, the Ruhr Music Commission and the legendary Zeche Bochum club. The Foundation will thus harness all the synergies required to ensure that the creative pop scene enjoys broad-based support and skills input, plus a comprehensive range of courses of study.

Assistance with self-marketing, outstanding instrumental teaching and the systematic integration of social aspects such as music therapy for people with dementia will underline the defining characteristics of the "Ruhr Pop Foundation". After concluding their studies, young, self-confident and excellently equipped graduates will be in an ideal position to enrich and enhance the music market with their innovative ideas - entirely in line with the motto "experiencing creativity, producing creativity and learning creativity".
