ISEA2010 RUHR
16th International Symposium on Electronic Art
The world's most important international electronic arts festival ISEA will take place in Germany for the first time ever as part of RUHR.2010. Innovative works of art from around the globe will be on display in Dortmund, Essen and Duisburg in August 2010 as part of ISEA.
ISEA has been bringing together a diverse array of artists since 1988, giving them a platform to show the latest electronic productions and discuss the latest trends and developments in digital art. The programme includes exhibitions, performances, concerts and artistic displays. The symposium also invites participants to take a more in-depth look at the electronic arts scene through presentation on such topics as the role of art in today's high-tech society and art projects in public spaces. There’s also the "E-Culture Fair", a trade fair for the innovative cultural use of new technologies in cooperation with Dutch and Belgian partners.
The new Centre for the Arts and Creativity at Dortmund University will be formally inaugurated as part of ISEA2010 RUHR.
