Both professional photographers and enthusiastic amateurs living in one of the partner cities Gladbeck, Alanya (Turkey) and Schwechat (Austria) are invited to participate in the photography competition "Integration - Migration - Living in Urban Spaces."
Photos should illustrate how different cultures live together in one community. A jury that includes renowned artist Regina Schmeken will select 15 entries from each city. They will be displayed in the entry hall of the Stadtsparkasse Gladbeck May 7, 2010.
Existing creative structures are already being used to set up networks of photographers in all three cities. The competition will therefore not just spawn illustrated books and photo calendars but also a new photography scene in the participating cities.
