Ik zing, tu chantes, cantiamo. On June 4, choirs from the Ruhr's European twin towns and cities will visit the region at the invitation of local choral groups. This is the ideal opportunity to find out about songs sung in other countries. Whether French sea shanties or Finnish nursery rhymes, the diversity of !SING TWINS knows no boundaries!
!SING CITY June 5, 2010, all day
я пою для тебя, du singst für mich! During !SING CITY, thousands of singers will transform the Ruhr region into a metropolis of choirs - and anyone can join in and sing along! On the evening before the big day, walk-about concerts performed by the university choirs in Essen-Werden will get people humming for the following day, and even the sunrise on June 5 will be to choral accompaniment - courtesy of Chorwerk Ruhr. And then the entire Ruhr Metropolis will resound with song: at 12:10, every single singer throughout the conurbation will literally be singing from the same sheet. Anyone and everyone can sing along: to the "Bochum Youth Song", at the "Festival of Choirs" in Dortmund, at the "Lip(pe) Commitment” event in Lünen or the performance of "Heroes' Songs" at the Henrichenburg Boat Lift. Sing "Hits mit MiR" at a karaoke concert with live orchestra in Gelsenkirchen or listen in to a singing boat parade transporting choirs and passengers across the "Culture Canal". There are hundreds of concerts to choose from, all reflecting the region's cultural riches and diversity. Come and sing!

Oder: Hep birlikte sarkı söylüyoruz - we all sing: at the combined closing concert on the evening of June 5 at the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen with Bobby McFerrin, the Wise Guys and others. Joining in on the field of play will be thousands of singers, who have already started rehearsing. A varied concert programme featuring well-known operatic songs, pop hits and folk music for all to sing along to promises something for everyone. Raise your voices to a most memorable evening in the Ruhr Metropolis!
