Classical music and more can be heard in the more than 200 events staged each season at the KONZERTHAUS DORTMUND. Alongside concert series with themes such as orchestras, great voices, master pianists or chamber music, the venue presents world music, jazz, new music, chanson and cabaret. The KONZERTHAUS DORTMUND was behind a recent innovation in German concert houses: its Pop-Abo, a subscription series which features well-known German and international pop stars in unplugged concerts, was introduced in the 2006/07 season. Since its opening in 2002, the house has more than earned a place among the most renowned concert spaces in Germany. The KONZERTHAUS DORTMUND, with its modern, transparent design, seats 1,550 people. The concert hall's excellent acoustics raise the experience of listening to its highest level - a blessing to both audience and artists.
