!SING EUROPE
On the evening of Saturday 5th June everyone can take part in the climax of DAY OF SONG: in the VELTINS-Arena the largest mixed voice chorus in German music history will sing the final concert of the day, !SING EUROPE – with Bobby McFerrin, the Wise Guys and the Bochumer Symphoniker, conducted by Steven Sloane and directed by Jonathan Eaton.
They’ll be singing about this one for years to come…
Upwards of 60,000 people – with 9,000 singers seated in the playing field, who will have been rehearsing since the summer of 2009 – will sing a richly varied program that ranges from classical choruses by Handel, Verdi and Beethoven to popular music and folk songs.
