!SING TWINS
The Ruhr Metropolis consists of 53 towns and cities, but its network of connections is actually much greater, reaching out to198 Partner Cities from 21 European countries, which offer a rich complement of cultures to the Ruhr region.
Currently 27 choirs from Twin Cities in 15 countries will be visiting the Cultural Capital in 2010 to share their music and their cultures with each other for the !SING project.
Choirs have already registered from Belgium, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary and the USA.
On Friday 4th June these Twin City Choirs will present Welcome Concerts with their German host choirs, sharing an evening of music and merry-making. Then they will join with thousands of singers from across Europe and the Ruhr in the many musical celebrations of DAY OF SONG on Saturday June 5th.
