Create the future, design your dreams - International Youth Culture Art Competition 2010

From June to September 2010 in Burg Vondern, Oberhausen arTwins will be presenting an international art competition for children and young people on the theme of "the future". Imagination is required, wishes and dreams allowed, all in the cause of shaping the future. What is going to be important one day? Which techniques and innovations will determine our everyday life? What changes are going to affect our working life, education, friendships, the environment and cities? The future should be understood and created as a dialogue between cultures, on the basis and in the presence of different experiential worlds. Each of the twin towns will be providing 15 works and the competition is divided into different age ranges. Three prizes will be awarded by an international jury in each of the categories. Visitors to the exhibition can also vote for a prize from the general public. The competition is open to all children and young people. The exhibition will also be offering a lot of creative fun in the summer academy with music, fashion, dance, readings, food and drink etc.
