Blau-Bleu-Blue

Blue is above all the colour of the sky, all over the world and all over the twin towns of Dinslaken, Arad and Agen. Artists from these three towns will be visiting each other on "colour expeditions" in order to draw their ideas and inspiration from completely different landscapes - industry, the desert, man-made landscapes - and their particular light and atmosphere.
What is the effect of the colour blue on these places? What does a desert inhabitant connect with the colour blue on seeing an industrial landscape? And how do the people living in the industrial landscape react to this impression? From August 2010 an exhibition with a side programme of events in Dinslaken will be showing all the phases of the adventure and the joint works. All the artists and the visitors are warmly invited to take part in the process of creating this project. "Blau-Bleu-Blue" is not intended solely to cement the friendship between the citizens of the three towns. It will also serve as the first way "culture-partnership-triennale" to be repeated after 2010.
