inter-cool 3.0
Young People's worlds of images and media
This exhibition uses the Internet and other leading media used by young people like, for example, mobile phones to link young people’s worlds. Young people use these media to express their needs and exchange ideas and information. "inter-cool 3.0" doesn’t want to be an art exhibition about the young, it is designed for and aimed at them, open for their individual participation.
Works of creative heads of the young generation shall be shown, who even create new forms of art through fashion, music, photography, video, fanart. Competitions will be held in local schools and youth centres featuring mobile phone videos and performances. Young international artists will be creating photos, pictures, videos, street art and interactive installations. The centre of "inter-cool 3.0" will first be the Dortmund U, which in the framework of the exhibition will be housing a gallery full of young people’s art. Creative heads can make their own styles and develop them, whether they be clothing or musical videos. The exhibition will then move on from Dortmund to Leeds, Tampere and Vienna.
