Alpha Code Two-Zero-One-Zero
The people of Hamm and its partners Arnheim (NL) and Bradford (GB) will be re-staging a musical in a completely new fashion. The story, a mixture of science fiction and social criticism, has been written by the Hamm author, Michael Imberg.
"A group of scientists discovers a monolith in a desert. Before they know where they are they have been catapulted into a long lost time, triggered off by the noise of a nail file on stone. They encounter people who used to inhabit the earth, the so-called Ead Dener, who are very good-natured, and a group of scientists from another planet, the Danaer. At the start things are harmonious between the two groups but frictions arise between the Ead Denern and the earthlings which have to be resolved by of the special skills of the Danaer."
The musical "Alpha Code Two-Zero-One-Zero" has been developed in a number of workshops held in Arnheim (the Atelier Velp), Bradford (Stage 84) and the musical and dance theatre ensemble of the town of Hamm. All the participating companies are providing an equal number of dancers, actors, musicians and solo artists. After the premiere the ensemble of over 60 members will be touring the show to the twin towns and elsewhere.
