100 young people between the ages of 16 and 23 will set off in the tracks of Robin Hood at an international youth camp near the protective nature area called "Paradise" in Heiligenhaus. True that they will not be playing thieves or archers but heroes. Where do heroes come from? What roles do they play? And how do we imagine that everyday heroes should behave?

In the Heiligenhaus Paradise the young people will be demonstrating their talents as environmental heroes and tackling the problems of nature conservation, responsibility, identity and sustainability, as well as planting an original seedling from the legendary Major Oak in Sherwood Forest. Just as in the original Robin Hood legend, they will be sharing their bounty with other people. The young people will be involved in designing an artistic area around the oak tree to serve as a meeting point for young people over and beyond 2010. The young people's camp will culminate in a major festival in which all the participants will present the fruits of their work over the previous two weeks, and their ideas and visions for the future in the form of films, music, photographs, handicraft and internet contributions.
