Numerous companies are supporting the new landmark. The individual parts of the super-large sculpture are being manufactured in different construction processes at the present time. This super-large sculptural work, which will be accessible on foot, has already acquired the affectionate vernacular name of "Roller Coaster".

After the main tube has been formed by bending, the total of 17 supports, that will carry the structure, will be manufactured in the Krupp Mannesmann metallurgical works in Duisburg. The construction process is also being made possible by the firms of Grillo-Werke AG from Duisburg, Voigt & Schweitzer GmbH & Co. KG and the SLV Duisburg branch of GSI – Gesellschaft für Schweißtechnik International mbH.

Johannes Remmel, Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, emphasizes the significance of the landmark for the structural transformation in Duisburg and the region: "The 'recasting' of the former site as the Anger Park is a very good example for the development of land that was previously used by industry. Of importance for me is the fact that the Anger Park signifies a clear increase in quality: the area where formerly the slag heap of the steel works was located will now be able to be enjoyed by everyone. This is important above all for the people living in the adjacent urban districts. I am very pleased that the "Tiger & Turtle - Magic Mountain" super-large sculpture of the artists Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth on the site of the former zinc works sets a further, clear sign for the structural transformation of the Ruhr region, a sign that can become a symbol for a strong and modern Ruhr Metropolis in North Rhine-Westphalia."

In addition to the comprehensive furtherance provided by the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia within the framework of the Emscher Lippe Ecology Programme and RUHR.2010, numerous enterprises including Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann (HKM) in collaboration with Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes, the Stadtsparkasse Duisburg municipal savings bank and the Stadtwerke Duisburg AG (Duisburg Municipal Utilities Company) are supporting the Capital of Culture landmark project, namely the construction of the "Tiger & Turtle - Magic Mountain" on the Heinrich-Hildebrand hill in the Anger Park.
